Is it possible in the next firmware to have a more global main output level along with per track gain. I do see the ability to turn each individual track up but Id like to do it on a global scale in terms of level. Unless it already exist now and I a missing it. I just find my out put real low even when I turn up my speaker monitor station.
I think it was in a video or something posted on Instagram or Facebook but the filter board will add gain per track. So in the future, if you buy that option you may get better levels.
I’m pretty sure there’s no global gain option. But you could add gain for every track in an empty project and save it and use that as a project template which you can always start of from.
As mentioned, the filter card will also solve this when that becomes available.
Hi
I was monitoring this thread before I bought the S2400.
In the light of march '23 firmware update, what has changed on the loudness of individuals signals ?
any new workflow experienced to export tracks to daw and keep the mojo?
many thanks
Nothing. The expansion board may solve that. From the past videos, I think additional gain per track was mentioned.
Right, they can only get louder with hardware.
right. so an 8 inputs to adat interface into my Apollo twin could be a temp solution before the new Isla HW is out, isn’t it ? any recos ?
Yes. I use a behringer ADA8200. Cheap but not build to last I think.
My first ADA8200 broke down and it was faster and cheaper to buy a new one rather than having it repair so I’m at my second unit. It wasn’t turning on anymore. I suppose it would have been an easy fix to replace the PSU but you know how is consumer society
Hey Brad!
Changing the Gain parameter per track solved my low-output problem. In the same vein as the recently implemented “Modify All Patterns” feature, it’d be awesome to be able to change the Gain in a more global way.

Is there plans for a new version of the S2400? I’m down for +4dB outputs (balanced TRS). Also possibly add an option for an internal M.2 drive.
New hardware version of the S2400? They haven’t even rolled out Caladan yet, Brad mentioned some crazy shit about a KordBot MK2, and with the DSP upgrade (genius idea, I love mine) I cannot think of a single thing I’m missing with my sampler… other than perhaps an onboard analog synth (similar to something like the Moog Mavis). I’m sure someone out there could slam a Mavis into the existing S2400 and make it work but because Isla is already releasing the Caladan I cannot see them adding that to the already amazing S2400.
But what do I know? I’m simply a consumer.
Besides I’m saving up for the Vermona DRM-1 to make sample kits for my S2400. That thing looks amazing.
Oh, I could also get down with some more MIDI outputs and CV outputs and onboard battery power… so if your dream of an S2400 MK2 comes along let’s hope we get my wishlist too.
