I’m about to buy a S2400 but I was wondering about filter and level for eight individual outputs.
I don’t have preamp to boost signals and I like to know if now 2025 individual unbalanced outputs can be used at normal gain. It was modded via some software or hardware upgrade ?
Plus are the filter per track available at those invidiual outputs ?
If not, how to use these outputs, what are they aimed for ?
I’ve understood they are normal-connected to MAIN outputs, connecting one track output then it is omitted on MAIN outputs.

The stock outputs are kind of quiet due to being pseudo balanced outputs. This hasn’t been modified yet and is a hardware issue so it can’t be fixed internally in the Isla firmware.
There is a new add on filter card that is supposed to remedy that issue, but they made a prototype and weren’t impressed with the sound. So they are going to redo it at some point.
I would guess that the Filter card is probably going to be on the back burner for quite some time since the Caladan will undoubtably take up a lot of attention after it gets in people’s hands. Maybe we’ll see the filter card next year?
As for the fixed analog filters, I would read the manual and watch this video to get an idea of what they do and how they sound.

Ok thank you so much for your fast response.
I understand dB loss on those 8 ouputs is about 6 dB (balanced/unbalanced) more than 15/20dB. So I guess most people used it like that. no workflow problem with this tech design.
Here I’ll have a wait and go deeper with docs.
