Does anyone here know how much import tax I’ll be paying roughly for the card when it ships to the UK? Hoping it sneaks through customs
in the UK, im expecting 20% tax on my unit.
And 2% Custom duty probably.
and £20 handling on top of that usually
Did the fans come in? I expected to hear these were shipping by now based on the YouTube update 3 weeks ago. What’s the status?
Only fans is what we need
Seems like this would be the kind of information that would be disseminated on the manufacturer’s own support forum instead of a 3rd party website that many don’t have or want access to.
Brad also posted this under the news section on this site. News – ISLA Instruments
Not the most obvious place, but I’ll take that and retract my statement.
Hi all & hopefully Brad,
Is there any info if the entire first batch of DSP cards is sold out? I want to order one, but if I place and pay for my order now, I have no idea whether the delivery will still be part of the first batch (expected delivery in the coming weeks) or if it will be part of the next batch, which might take months from now.
It will be part of this current batch
That’s great to hear Rob. I expect my unit to be back early next week and will place the order then
Is the fan going to be always on, or only when needed?
Happy new year to everyone! I know the holidays have just passed but is there any update on where things are at with the DSP cards?
I would like an update as well, something must have set the team back as Brad stated in the last video that the cards should have been sent the end of the week or beginning of the week after that update was uploaded.
Yeah, same here. My guess is that beta testers finally have an opportunity to give feedback after receiving a card with a fan. And that this feedback is still being implemented in the firmware. If so, hopefully this results in icing on the cake instead of major compatibility issues. The silence is worrying me though, some transparancy after the eta on shipping in the latest video would be appreciated. That would make the wait a bit more bearable.
Yes I also would appreciate a status update. The last post on the Isla instagram stated (in a comment) that shipping would be happening “imminently” and that was 3 weeks ago.
I realize the holidays have just happened- but even a “we are working on it but it’s taking a little more time then we anticipated because…” communication is helpful I think.
The silence is the worrisome part. It’s easier to be patient when there is communication happening
Brad mentioned in a video it is PWM controlled so it will presumably be variable speed from 0 to max.
