Wondering about this as well. Although I don’t mind waiting a bit if it means the DSP card and firmware will be that much more polished. Please don’t keep us waiting too long though
They are not ready yet and will not ship until finalised. I’m sure everyone is working hard to finalise as soon as practically possible.
Brad really teased us by posting the installation video so soon.
Nah, same. No rush, just curious on timing. Especially now that we’re rolling into the winter months. Gonna be indoors a lot more…
I’m very sorry.
I’m juggling many different tasks and sometimes it’s like swimming in gravy!
doing my best to get a video update out on friday, with which the new LIve FX mode will be showcased, I think you’re going to love it! (sell your SP404 now)
will of course update on other stuff, and why the delays still etc.
sorry again
Brad
Great things on the horizon…
Im hovering over the buy button now. This is pretty sick, amazing work.
What would be cool to see, and im sure its coming, is how the interface works with instruments. When i think of the grooveboxes i have owned, the layout of the S2400 actually could lend itself really well for patching on the fly. 8 faders, and 16 pots (if you count the resoancne one). Thats a lot better than Push, Force, MPC, etc.
Part of me was thinking even to sell my MPC for another S2400. But then i guess thats where the Caladan could step in.
As an integrated system theres a lot to look forward to.
Waiting patiently .
Nice video
Brad should take a break. He looks tired.
Loved the live stream, really thorough overview of the DSP Card, hope you get a chance to rest soon
One small question: Will the DSP cards be available for purchase throughout the rest of the year or in limited runs? I didnt get a chance to pre-order but looking to purchase it sometime next month if its still available. Thanks and bless!
Seeing that VST3 is supported, I want to know if I can use rx950 on it. Then I can sell the S950.
Only if there is an ARM Linux version of that plugin available and it doesn’t require authorisation.
You may be in luck, the latest version states ARM Linux support! I’m not sure about its authorisation though. Definitely give it a try.
Don’t sell the S-950, just sit it to the side.
My 950 and 900 have been through a few repairs and I’m a bit disillusioned with the equipment, and I’ve come to hate having so many devices in my room
When you say a plugin needs to not require authorization, what does that mean? And is there a way to tell if it will work aside from just testing it on the S2400 once the DSP cards drop?
I hear you man, as much as I love all my old equipment, sometimes it feels like I spend more time repairing or working out workflow issues than I do actually making music. I’ve definitely set a lot of the old machines aside for that reason. I’m hesitant to sell them though, because they do sound so great.
Well any plugin that requires logging in with account details or sending a serial number to a server won’t work because the S2400 can’t connect to the internet. So only plugins that just work without needing authorisation will work. Brad mentioned in a video that it’s possible to do a system where the S2400 generates a code and you’d download a plugin file from the plugin company’s website with that code. But it would require companies implementing that system so I doubt it will happen.
On the inphonik website it says that it’s DRM-Free. I wonder if that means authorization isn’t required. I have it on iOS but will purchase it when I get to my computer and report back on it authorization is required.
That’s amazing!
Thank you Brad for all hard work
Please the ability to save presets from the plugins it is a very requested function and it will be something very important for the workflow.
Thank you again and for all Isla team
