USB splitter to power keyboard plugged into S2400

Hey gents, I’ve got a wireless bluetooth keyboard plugged into my S2400 so I can type out sample names, etc which is great, however the S2400 needs to be turned on for it to charge the keyboard. I also use the keyboard to type on my phone and iPad, so I need it to charge while the S2400 is off.

I got a female to dual male USB splitter so that I can charge one into a wall plug and the other into the S2400. In theory I think it should work but I wanted to ask here first to make sure I’m not going to fry my S2400 by testing my theory lol

I’ll attach a photo of the USB. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers!

I do not recommend plugging a random USB splitter into the S2400 without knowing the pinout…

Ok good call, thanks for the reply!

I think having a keyboard plugged into the S2400 is brilliant! I just think you may want to pick up a used usb keyboard that has an actual usb cord. Don’t plug that dual usb into the wall fam. Seriously, don’t… you could mess up your S2400

If it helps… I plugged the Roland RD-07 V-Drum using USB my S2400 and it worked just fine, I doubt you’ll “fry” anything.

Thanks, yeah I haven’t tried it yet but I feel like if I just plug it into a 1 amp circuit for like charging phones, it’ll prolly be fine. I’ll report back

I’ve plugged everything possible into it so far. Only problem I had was the clock locking fiasco with the Moog Subharmonicon (and recently it happened with Logic, but I was changing MIDI options like a madman). There’s a post on here about that problem. But I obviously it’s not USB related.
