Hi all.
When running the Arturia Keystep through the USB host jack with the S2400, everything runs smoothly. When trying to control another external device from the Keystep through the USB host and out the MIDI out port, I’ve run into several problems.
With the Moog Minitaur, I’m able to play normally and then when I hit the 20th or so note there seems to be a key lock that occurs and continues to play tones. I’ve only been able to replicate it by using the keystep connected through the s2400 in this manner.
When using the Korg Minilogue XD, it seems to only play a PARTIAL tone rather than the full spectrum. When playing the Minilogue while connected that it sounds normal, trying to control it with the keystep brings the problems.
This also happens when I use my Synthstrkm Deluge as the MIDI controller instead of the keystep, so I’m assuming it’s an issue with how the USB Host communicates with the MIDI Out.
I’ve changed and tried every iteration of parameters offered in the sync menu, trying each MMC message etc… I’m not a MIDI expert, but I know what I’m doing.
Has anyone else encountered this problem? Granted there are easy work arounds and I don’t mind doing that, I’m just curious as to why it’s happening. Perhaps it’s user error on my part. I can provide more info for anyone willing to help
