Unable to save sounds/slices

Im having trouble saving my sounds/sampleds to a specified folder

If i have a sound I want to save to my SD card for later use, whenever I navigate away from the ‘project’ folder as the destination, I navigate to my folder of my user sounds and get and error message ‘UNABLE TO OPEN FOLDER’

regardless of which folder it is. Ive also tried creating a new sunfolder on the machine and still get the same error

sounds like your SD card might be failing, starting to fail.
they ALL do, eventually.

It’s a practically new card, so would be strange but that could be the case. All other functions are fine on the machine. I’ll try a new one and report back

I don’t think that is an error message in the code. Is it maybe “Error: Cannot Open Folder” or “Bad Folder Name Cannot Open”?
Can you upload a screenshot of your folders so we can see the names?

Yeah it does give me this message. With any folder I try and select. (and also when I press ‘back’ to return to the save sample/slice window

I also get this random bunch of letters showing up

I’ve fully formatted my current SD card and still no luck. Yet to try a new card but will try and see if I have one knocking about

I hate to make you reset your settings, but deleting your S2400.SET file will probably fix this. You could just rename it, and if it is not fixed, rename it back.

Sadly this didnt resolve it either

Does the save sample screen still have garbage in the default folder name?
And, are you on the most recent firmware version?

Yeah the name is still muddled up. And I’m on the latest firmware. I’ll have to try another SD card I expect

Same problem here, This didn’t happen before the latest update. When I try to bounce a pattern, it doesn’t let me choose a folder, and instead it creates one with random characters—and it doesn’t even save the bounced pattern file, haha. I have no idea what might be going on.

I’ll try what you suggested Mickey
