I’m a little bit puzzled with copying and pasting events.
When I do a selection and press copy + pad to copy the events of a particular track and then go to another bar and paste them, the events are pasted but without any level, pitch, env information from the events I copy from. I hear the original unedited sample of the track. To copy / paste events like that is not usable at all, I don’t want to set the sound again and again for each pasted event / selection of events.
Then I tried to do the same thing through the copy menu. There, all the pitch, level, etc. information are copied for the selected events, but unfortunately paste and replace erases events from tracks which I have unselected in the copy menu. But I need to use paste and replace because the bars I copy to already contain events and I want to overwrite them. So the only way to achieve what I want is to erase all events which I want to overwrite beforehand. Then select the bar I want to copy, go into the copy menu, unselect the tracks I don’t want to copy and use paste and merge. This is very slow and cumbersome. Did I miss something? Why can’t I just use copy+pad and paste and the event parameters are also copied? And why are events erased for unselected tracks with the paste and replace function?
