I bought RX950 outright through Plugin Boutique in the past - I don’t use Beatport Studio - their support told me they can provide existing customers non-drm copies.
this has now been fixed, please download the new firmwares. (posted literally just now)
FYI:
I recently bought the RX950 from Plugin Boutique and I was able to provide a proof of purchase to Inphonik, who then sent me the correct files.
I can’t get this to load up. I’ve installed the latest version of RX950 and followed Brad’s location screenshot but when I browse the SD card I end up just going down into sub folders with nothing to click on to load up.
I suspect this might be an error on my part in not fully understanding how to place & load VST3 plug-ins onto the S2400. Is there a reference on how to do this in the forum (there’s nothing in the manual).
It won’t be in the sd card. It will be on the DSP card “user plugins” assuming you have synced it already.
On the linux RX950 file
Go into VST3
Copy the RX950.vst file to your dsp card > plugins > vst
once done that
Go in to contents file
Then delete the x86_64-linux folder
Then sync
should work now
I finally loaded it tonight, threw it on drums, and had my mind blown. I imagine I’ll be putting RX 950 on all my drums going forward.
Greetings, how about the RX1200? It has a VST and VST3 folders. The VST3 has the dreaded x86_64-linux file in it. The VST folder has a .so file in it.
you need the aarch64 version
kinda redundant when the s2400 is doing pretty much what the rx1200 is doing, no? i love the rx1200 dont get me wrong, i just think its not a good fit for the dsp card. the gui for one would be a nightmare to try and use…
Also, I don’t know if loading samples to a plugin is doable.
That’s too bad, I was really hoping we could get this thing to sound like a S1200…
The rx950 plug is amazing!
I loved reading all this. The engagement between Inphonik and Isla is awesome.
If a few of us buy it (more than a few by the sounds of things) hopefully it encourages more developers to make it as easy as possible to buy their product and use it successfully on the ISLA.
Bonus for the fact I can use it as VST3 in Cubase, too.
So, weird. I have purchased and loaded RX950 successfully to the S2400 but the UI is showing items that look more like a reverb plugin than a channel or pre. E.g.
Enabled
Dry Level
Early Level
Early Send
Late Level
Size
Width
Save Preset
- I did have a reverb (ROOM REVERB) loaded on the channel previously and removed it.
- I loaded a new project and then loaded a KIT and the same thing happened.
- I loaded a new project and chose a new kick sample (didnt load a pre existing kit) and the same result.
- I loaded a new project and created another kit and now I have the same screen stuff as MOXLUST above.
I will wait for an update and do recall Brad mentioning this issue in an email to me. I just thought the odd reverb settings were interesting to log.
On the recommendation of this thread, I bought the RX950 plugin…and it is rad!
I have tried the suggestions above removing specific files etc and still have the gobbledegook screen output.
S2400 is March 17th FW and DSP was from the same release.
Unless anyone has the RX 950 running with latest firmware and instructions of how to achieve this, I will wait on Isla patiently
How did you buy it? It won’t let me purchase on their site?
There are posted links where to buy from further up:
[SOLVED] for whatever reason I had missed the extra update. If you go to the link below, this FW pair fixed the gobbledegook screen presentation of RX 950 and now it works perfectly, and sounds great.
So it looks like there was a FW update for the S2400 and DSP that I didnt have - Mikey posted it in the forum but I think when I checked the DOWNLOADS page was not updated, so I didnt know (the downloads support page has been updated now). I am installing the FW files now.
