[RESOLVED] Quieter/Dead spot on Mix out knob

Just got my unit recently, been learning my way around it the last week.

Not sure if there’s a setting I’m overlooking, but after updating to the latest firmware my Mix Out knob seems to have a quieter spot right around 75% volume (mix out knob at around 3oclock). I actually find the volume a bit louder at 60% rather than 100%. Sound isn’t completely muted at this 3oclock position, but noticeably quieter.

I didn’t seem to notice this before I updated the firmware… but I only had the unit for a few days before I updated it. I think I would have caught this pretty quickly while testing the unit - but its possible I missed this and the firmware may not be at fault. Should I try downgrading to the firmware that came when I got the unit? (think it was an Apr 2023 firmware)

Ive ran the mix-out cable into my Focusrite and then tried it directly into my mixer just to verify nothing else is causing this issue. Any input?

Continued -

When plugged into my Focusrite, if I press the INST button (which amplifies the input signal) the mix knob on the s2400 appears to work perfectly fine BUT this distorts/changes my sounds quite a bit, as this setting on the Focusrite is designed for electric guitars and such. Drum machines, samplers, synths, and keyboards should (and do) all work fine WITHOUT the INST button pressed.

RESOLVED - I was using 2 1/4" into 1 1/4" adapter and that appeared to be the main issue here.
