Massive mistake not having truncate of a sample its wasting sd card space also leads to another thing that goes hand in hand for editing samples fade selection to zero just broke out my new s2400 this bugged me the f#@k out i do not understand how you missed this there is no way i can leave snares kicks and hi hats like that its like the sacred crates drum samplers have to have this in the box otherwise you gotta go outside the box to edit your drums and it makes this machine look crazy lol !! I hope you dont make the machine too complex either akai have ruined the mpc !!! But the mpc does cut the samples and delete the unwanted bits from memory and also has the fade out to zero from selection i know you have the envelope so does the mpc but its a cardinal sin a basic component of a sampler to have those features

Of course you can truncate samples, and there are full featured envelopes for fading.

Lol !!! I am crap with punctuation !! I just type… so do samples get truncated when they are saved i didnt mean to sound like a rant the machine is awsome !! Its an sp on steroids !! I just brushed through it thinking i had it down…shame on me …i saw this guy called gleam and i saw the sample truncated does that only happen on save …and sorry mickey your are a don !!! ive wound my neck back in!! Should have asked instead of panic ranting !!

Thank you bro !! I missed something after trimming points does it only show up with the edited portion after saving… i saw dj gleam edit a sample and it showed the sample truncated with no crap on each end lol !!
Im mad sorry bro … i sounded a bit crazy !! As a feature request could you make a fade selection to zero as a process like your timestretch i know you have the envelopes just so snares etc… can be cleaned up permanently on the machine lol i hope i can get back in your good books !!!

Right, samples truncate when saved. In the waveform editor, you set the start and end. If you want to truncate, then press the Save key (while still in the waveform editor).
Thank you brother i jumped the gun should have asked first… the videos dont show that i would have picked that up and they are good videos i had only turned the thing on once im very rusty aint made beats for years im a beatmaker from the electro funk times 1983 stopped in the 90’s and just tinkered after that man this thing is so cool its like i have my sp 1200 all over again but with the things i wish it had at the time the crunchiness i hated back then especially on 808’s but it has a place now with this lo fi hip hop genre youve nailed the sound cant wait to put this through a desk are you going to put an eq on these new cards your doing
