Newb question

First question (don’t know if anyone can help)…
I’ve got loads of bits of tunes etc that i wrote with good sections.
What i want to do is load these up and then “discard” everything outside of where i put the loop markers… This isn’t possible is it ? Only approach is to slice / export and delete unwanted slices right ?

That is to say i want to extract a 4 bar loop from a 1 minute long jam … s2400 can’t do this easily can it ?

yeah it can. you can set start and end points for the part you want and only that part will trigger.

See in manual:
“Waveform Editor
The waveform editor is for precise editing of slices and loops. It is displayed after recording a
new sample, or after pressing the B button for a track when in Loop/Slice fader mode.”

Thanks… but it’s very unwieldy… I was hoping to ditch the bits I didn’t want and then slice up the remainder… trying to navigate round a 2 minute clip (or portion thereof) is not fun…
I’ve found a big thread about ‘discard’ or ‘trim’ in feature requests… and added a request there for this detail…
In the meantime I will slice up and then export the slice and reimport…

Someone explained on discord the shift + save shortcut while in loop editor…
Works a treat.
