New SSD card doesn’t work :(

Heya I just upgraded my SSD, but the s2400 won’t read it. Is there a format type that will work or will a firmware update fix this? I opened the pack and can’t return it. It’s a Samsung 128gb pro plus A2 V30. With the micro card that fits inside the SSD sleeve. Is that the issue? I can’t seem to find a modern card without the smaller card that slides into the sleeve…

Any ideas?

Thanks

I just bought some full size sanDisk SDXC cards off Amazon, not the tiny ones in the adapter. Good luck!

I use Samsung Pro Plus micro SD 128GB.

Seems to be the same you mention.

I have had my machine for about 1,5 months. Haven’t used it heavily but no problems related to the sd card so far.

Using a micro sd can not, from personal experience though, be said to be a problem per se.

Have no technical knowledge about sd cards, but in search of error, maybe the following could be worth trying:

  • reformat the sd card using the machines function to do this. Do it after you have updated the machine to latest firmware.

  • try plugging your sd card to another device e.g. a computer. Does it work here? If not, it could be the sd card itself and not related to the S2400. If so, you should be able to return the sd card at the store

out of the box the card is formatted as “exFAT” which we cannot read (thank Microsoft and their patent policies for that), so you need to reformat the card as standard “FAT”

Just so you know, we don’t advise or recommend using micro SD cards at all. Just use a regular SD card.
