My S2400 won't turn on anymore

So… i’ve had zero issues with the unit and was making tons of music, then took a few weeks off.

Today i turned the machine back on, and all it does is give a fan sound and that’s it. nothing on the screen, no lights turning on except for the power switch on the back. It’s just been sitting there, same spot, protected, untouched, for about 2 weeks and now it’s dead?

Has anybody experienced this and is the only option to send it back to the store? I did put the DSP in myself extremely careful and that has worked for weeks with zero issues. TBH this is heartbreaking, i love the machine, really gave me a creative spark and love for making music back…

I fixed it! I found somebody with problem with his screen, and it said it was fixed by forced reinstalling the firmware. i thought i’d try it and it actually worked! it’s scary when the machine looks completely dead, it was a hail mary and it fixed it, so happy right now

This was going to be my advice - if your machine has a dark screen but the power light illuminates and you can hear the machine is on, a forced update via .upf will work pretty much every time
