Muted samples & blank waveform after loading a project

I just started a project, saved it, and when I came back to it (load project), a few of my samples do not trigger. When I go to view the waveform, the S2400 freezes for a few seconds, then there’s no waveform displayed. Just a blank screen. All other samples from A1 through B3 load and play fine, but every sample from B3 through B8 is blank, and doesn’t play.

I sampled directly into the S2400 as 24khz Stereo. The sample is about 9 seconds long.
I assign it to pad A1, then copy it to every pad from A2 through B8. I then adjust the Start & End markers. All samples are set to Audio Engine to Classic mode, Bit Depth = 12, Gated & Stop On Mute. All assigned to outputs 1&2, Choke Group #1.

I noticed that I can fix the muted samples by resetting the Start & End markers.
Although even after doing that, and saving it, the next time I load the project, the same issue occurs.

I have also upgraded to the latest FW: Apr 28 2025/DSP V3.1.12.

It seems to be related to the Start & End markers not saving correctly (my assumption).
I wonder if anyone else has experienced this issue

Can you show me step by step how you are saving your projects? Your projects should be saving all of your parameters, so the next time you try to load a project, it should seamlessly start up where you left off.

I just hit “Save”
I just started a new project and the same is happening. The Start/End markers keeps getting corrupt on certain samples. This time all I did was Save and didn’t even Load the project, and Pad B1 wouldn’t play the sample, so Start/End marker had to be re-adjusted again. Am i the only one that’s experiencing this?

Are you loading a kit to get your samples or are you recording samples on the mic? Perhaps this might help you save your kit to recall later. Watch the Alex Ball video manual, go to the 9:44 min mark for a thorough demonstration on this procedure. Pt.1 - Loading Sounds, Rearranging Sounds & Saving Kits - Isla Instruments S2400 Video Manual
Also you might want to watch how to save your project in part 5 @ the 5:24 min mark.

Yes I follow Alex, and I have referenced his video manuals. This I’m sure is a bug. I’m just surprised that no one else is experiencing the same.

I am not experiencing what you’re experiencing. I don’t think it’s a bug. More people would be chiming in. Are you saving your work on an SD card? What SD card brand & model are you using?

Yes, I’m saving it onto a 512Gb Lexar 633x (95 MB/s) Gold SD Card. I will format and try another SD

I just replaced the SD card with a SanDisk 256GB Extreme PRO, and so far all is good. Maybe the 512Gb size cards are too much. @esandozequi - thanks for mentioning the SD card

i have been using a 512gb card since i had the machine, and mine was a part of the first production run.

I spoke too soon… it actually happened again. Going to test again today.

What SD card brand are you using?

if you are asking me, im using samsung 512gb - PRO Ultimate 512GB SDXC + Reader Card UHS-I | Samsung US
