ESQ-1-like audition mode for REC OVERRIDE?

Hi all,

ESQ-1 sequencer (and maybe some subsequent Ensoniq sequencers) had this nice feature where a new recording pass would start looping automatically for auditioning. The sequencer would enter this kind of audition mode where you could compare the new pass vs the original, and then decide to keep the changes or discard them.

Is any kind of similar workflow possible on S2400 with REC OVERRIDE mode?

(Edit: come to think of it, this is similar to how the Live Loop A/B buttons work, which totally rule)
