DSP Plugin discussion

Love the update so far but experiencing some SHRRRRTCH when i have Airwindows plugins on some of the buses (like reverb - havent tried all of them) and i move a Live FX fader - + some little burps of glitches now and again - also Soundfont synth glitches when playing more than 2-3 notes

yes, we have the airwindows plugins on the list to look at optimization.
It’s been brought to our attention that quite a few of them are very cpu intensive. with things like multiple x oversampling etc.

At the moment the airwindows stuff is a bit experimental.

THIS WAS USER ERROR

If I set up ROOM REVERB on BUS 1, and then on BUS 2, for different sample channels, it seems that editing variables for either Bus Reverb instance affects the settings of the other.

They dont seem to be working independently - e.g. I am not able to have different decay for bus 1 and bus 2

Is that to be expected? Ultimately I would like different effect settings per channel even when using the same VST.

assuming with ROOM REVERB you mean the “Dragonfly Room Reverb”, I loaded 2 instances of it and they do not affect each other

Thank you so much for posting this! I installed these last night and loved the Tape Simulator I randomly threw on a piano loop. I’m looking forward to going through the rest!

when I set effects on the send and insert of a given channel, I keep losing the sound I’m working on — this happens every few minutes. What could be causing this?

Are you putting them on the main bus or individual outputs? Are the plugins you’re adding disappearing, or just the the sound of the effects themselves?

I put them on individual outs, just the sound disappearing. Cleaning DSP config do not help :frowning:

Some other user had problems with audio disappearing which seemed to be due to an old SD-card:

My SD has 3-4 years. I use various samples. I guess it shouldn’t make any difference..

Apologies in advance if I’ve missed it, but has there been any further news re a UK/EU stockist for the DSP card? Thanks

It’s not likely to happen for some time, if at all.
apologies.

I will be selling machines with the card pre-installed, but that won’t be until winter this year most likely.

Ok, thanks for update Brad.
Didn’t think I needed one at first, but now I’ve seen what it’s capable of I’m 100% invested in it :joy:

Looks like I’ll be quickly moving something on to cover the cost.

I regularly have problems with projects I’m working on going silent. This time, I had a situation where I programmed some dry drums, saved the project, then added a reverb on Send B. I decided to remove that reverb to try a different one — but the moment I deleted it, the project stopped playing. On top of that, a constant sound appeared.

After reloading the project, nothing got fixed — the project still wouldn’t play, none of the pads triggered any sound, and the constant sound was still there.

What’s going on…? :frowning:
I’ll add that I’ve just installed new firmware S2400/DSP

I also experience that constant sawtooth-like sound appearing after some removing and adding of plugins.
Need to reboot to start off normal again.

I was dealing with this also. I removed all the plugins that didn’t come stock, resynced the dps card and still the same thing. I started to think I had done something wrong during the installation. Which is crazy because I’m know rookie when it comes to that kind of stuff. What I did next before putting in a ticket was to get a fresh SD card (32gb), formated it inthe S2400, loaded a few samples, and created a new project. And so far after adding a drive effect on a break an and a couple of others on a melodic, reverb and a delay on the A and B buss, and the RX950 on the master, Everything it running smoothly.

This is good to know but if I knew what file was corrupted, I’d replace it with the fresh on off of my newly created SD card.

Is formatting the card enough, or do I need to buy a new one?

The one I used wasn’t new. Just formatting it did the trick for me. Im also wondering if the size of the card matters. The one I use originally is a 500gb card. The one I ran a test setup on is only 32gb.

I had to do this once. I deleted all the plugins from SD card dsp/plugins/lv2 and dsp/plugins/vst folders and sync without them. Although it didn’t erase all the user plugins from DSP card y removed the one making trouble.

Hi, when I load a project, I have a saturation in the sound, it disappears when I slightly lower the volume of the DSP mixer
