New S2400 owner here…loving it! Question about song mode that I can’t seem to figure out:
When you are playing within a current song, e.g. Song01, are you able to select another song, e.g. Song02, and have it automatically start playing at the end of Song01?
Basically, what I’m looking for is to recreate the workflow of pattern switching, but in song mode. This would allow me to make slightly more complex forms, but still gain the benefit of being able to stay in one “song” (for me, a formal section) for as long as I want via the infinite repeat feature.
I’m really hoping I’m missing this and someone can say “it’s HERE in the manual, duh!” If not, hopefully I can move this to the Feature Requests section.
Similar vibe to this question, but just a different take on it.
To everyone who has been involved in making this awesome machine: thank you! It really is special.
Look into Squarp Hapax. It can work with two projects at once.
Thanks for the reply! That’s an awesome sequencer, and I have some other awesome sequencers, but I’m hoping to use this as a standalone instrument for performance.
In case my question was confusing, I’m not actually trying to switch “songs” using the typical definition of songs. I’m hoping to use “songs” in the S2400 to create sections that can endlessly repeat, then change to the next “song” at the end of the section. Imagine an A section with a string of patterns. I’d like to be able to, at some point while song A is playing, switch to song B in the song screen, and have the change happen at the end of song A.
Pattern changes work like this, but it would be nice to be able to string patterns together, THEN have the ability to trigger a change.
In song mode you can input a sub-song event. Page 52: “Sub-Song: Plays another song once, then continues with the current song. The end action of the sub-song
is ignored, so the sub-song will not replay forever, or go to a different song. Sub-songs inside a
sub-song are ignored.”

Sadly, this means it won’t work for my purpose. Looks like I’ll be in pattern mode only for live performance.
