When in step mode: F1 & F2 only change the quantization, but no longer zoom in/out, as well.
Seems useful, but no idea how I did that. How do I get it back to zooming in/out again?

The max zoom is determined by the maximum resolution of the pattern. If you have fine mode, and there are triggers on 256t steps, then it will always be at max zoom.
I will mention that in the manual.
