So, I got set up for sequencing with renoise this evening. It took a while but it really is not hard and works great. The intervals used for start points don’t seem to jive particularly well with nice round hex numbers in renoise, so it’s not exactly as easy as programming breaks on the computer (yet), but I think with a bit more research it will get there.
Here is a short demo movie using one single track with one single break.
It is triggered by MIDI from renoise, and the track is in “pitched” mode. Note OFF commands work flawlessly, and for other CC commands, the Instrument Midi Control device (in meta devices section) can be used. This is just sample start and stop commands at various pitches, and modifying start point and a little filter play.
