Samples having less aliasing while editing

Hi,

whenever i use my S2400 (i only ever sample in 12bit classic mode mono) when i change for example the pitch it gets nice and grainy, but whenever i enter the wave editor some of the grainyness/aliasing goes away and it sounds way different. When i get back to the main screen all is sounding dirty and nice again. How come?

My guess would be the wave editing comes pre-aliasing so you wouldn’t hear it that way. The only way to hear in im the way you’re wanting to is to resample
