After creating and deleting a few patterns, when everything is fine it would be nice to be able to reorganize patterns. To be able to move patterns freely and keep it clean
This would be nice; to have a screen which enables us to easily shuffle our Pattern order around.
This copy/delete way of organising patterns/seq’s is one of the more tedious aspects of working on the SP1200.
+1 can someone explain what’s the workaround? thank you
The work around is that you can copy a pattern to an empty pattern, then delete the original to clear up the original pattern. Rinse, lather repeat until they are in the order you want. Just hit copy while you are in pattern mode on the pattern you want to copy.
Honestly not sure why you would need to rearrange the patterns, doesn’t the order matter more when you are in song mode? You can quickly change between patterns using the numeric keypad as well, so switching between patterns that aren’t consecutive is easy.
For example before “storage”.
Sometimes, I reload beats made 1 or 2 years ago and having something clean really helps when I don’t remember what I did when creating them.
On the contrary, if there is a weird order or unused sequences it can be time consuming to figure out what was good.
→ So a quick way to reorganize patterns would be nice.
I think I created this topic after they implemented “reorganize tracks”. So being able to reorganize patterns looked logical to me.
Thank you. It just helps to have the patterns organized in a logical order to build songs, at least for me. Cheers
For sure, that makes sense, I need to do a better job with that. You can also rename the patterns to help organize.
