What would be the benefit of getting 4 Parva cards instead of 2 on your preorder of the Caladan. Are they all the same card?
Polyphony is the reason you might want more cards.
The parva cards are one voice per card and their strength are in in these lush pad/bed type of sounds, So if you want to play chords and don’t want sounds to cut eachother off, you need more cards.
Thank you for your answer that explains it very clearly to me.
Welcome!
And I realize I’m doing the Parva short by saying it’s strength is in pad type sounds. I have heard great bass and brassy sounds from it as well, but I’m just a sucker for these lush big pads and it does it very well! Can’t wait for it to arrive
I looked up the original Parva last night and must say I agree with you it has a great all-around sound. I’m hoping the team can get 2 voices on a single card. Yes, I understand that may not happen, but I will be investing in the newer cards there working on also, so I may add some additional Parva cards in the future. At this point I want to get the main Caladan unit with a taste of Parva in my gear arsenal with my S2400. Thanks 4 The Reply - “I can’t wait for it to arrive either”!!!
