Output 7 muted - I need help (possible DSP issue, not sure)

Here is the scenario. Isla S2400 and DSP with up to date firmware on both.

Symptom is that something has happened that causes my current project to stop Output 7 working (passing audio)

  • At first I thought Output 7 of my S2400 was broken.
  • No audio output (and fully tested all cables to my interface etc) from 7
  • All other outputs are fine.
  • I tested with multiple NEW PROJECTS. Same result.
  • I emailed Isla support and they requested I delete the SETTINGS file from the SD card.
  • I did that, and hey presto Output 7 works again.
  • However, when I loaded the project I was working on previously the symptom returned.
  • Loading any other project, or making a new project, Output 7 does not work until I delete the settings file (again).
  • I have provided video of track settings to Isla Support and they say its all set up fine per channel.
  • I was advised it might be a DSP issue and to post here as its not their area of expertise.
  1. What setting do I need to change to get Output 7 working in my project, and not have to keep deleting the settings file?
  2. And why does this project loading impact the global settings and stop me using Output 7 in other projects including new projects?
  3. What is Isla’s plan for support of the DSP? It seems it is for the community to support presently.

Note. I have NOT posted this in the BUG forum because I have no idea how to recreate the issue, nor how to solve it. It may not BE a bug. Perhaps I have changed something in the DSP or other settings that I can not find.

@bradholland

This video is regarding the fault that I DMd you about. See text in post above for context.

I demonstrate the output 7 failure and try to show you settings I think are relevant, and the fact it carries over to new projects after it occurs. Something is being changed globally when that project loads. I would be very happy for this to be user error if I can be provided with the reasoning for this and a way to fix my broken project and stop it affecting all other projects.

I also demonstrate one hit samples playing back at the wrong pitch when loaded and I have NO idea why that is happening as its a brand new issue.

Hello, chiming in here out of curiosity.

Is there any plugin loaded on the DSP bus 7? If’ you’re not sure how to do it: You could check by going to the DSP mixer page (bank + 0) and selecting bus 7 (shift + pad7).

Hi. Great question and not on this pad. I’ll double check the others later today.

Checked and not the case.

Still no feedback from Isla sadly. Support told me to post here as they only support hardware.
