Mix outs with and w/o DSP

Can anyone confirm that the signal from the mix outs of the S2400 with built-in DSP card is automatically louder and cleaner/lower in noise than without, since the signal is then mixed digitally?

If so, is this already the case without using any plugins such as a compressor to boost the signal—is pure digital volume control sufficient for this? Much more headroom and better S/N ratio?

Does the RX950 plugin sound just as good on the S2400 as the Windows version of the plugin on a PC?

Thank you!

Dunno for the first part of your question, but I’m positive on the RX950 plugin sounding as good as pc version

yes, with the DSP card installed the stereo main MIX is done inside the DSP and sent out via a separate DAC

Thanks for the feedback!

The manufacturer of the RX950 has confirmed to me that the version for the S2400 is identical to the other versions.

Someone on Facebook said that the RX950 doesn’t sound as good on the S2400, but that could just be due to the settings.

But is it true that the DSP card automatically makes the mix-outs louder and reduces noise just because everything is then mixed digitally?
