Midi Level Mute/Solo Feature Request

Here is my first request for this future classic: Midi Level Mute/Solo behavior.

For those that don’t know what I’m talking about, there are two methods of mute/solo behaviors:

  • audio level, which behaves like on a audio mixer where the sound cuts as soon as you mute/solo.

  • midi note level, which mutes/solos the note data when you hit mute/solo.

Midi note level is way more preferable imo as mute/solo doesn’t cut the tail off notes.

Hopefully this will be added in firmware. I remember making the same request on Tempest and it was thankfully added as an option in the settings.

HA! This is funny to me because that is exactly how early development versions worked. It made total sense to me as I am very drum machine focused. I did not consider that many users are using sounds that are as long as the whole pattern.

It is possible to add an option to a future firmware release.

Oh, can you make that setting per track? That way you get the best of both worlds. And, maybe default based on the sample length when you assign the sound?
