According to my knowledge (and as stated in the Kordbot documentation ), the major scale is formed using the sequence:
M m m M M m dim .
However, when I open the Diatonic Bank setup and select the preset “28-Major”, the scale appears to be built from:
M m m M 7 m dim7 .
As far as I understand, this is the factory default setup, and it cannot be reprogrammed by the user.
The correct sequence seems to be available under preset “9 - Chromatic” , but I can’t use it with MOD keys because the scale contains all 12 notes instead of the usual 7. As a result, the second step forms a C#m chord instead of the expected Dm .
Did I miss something here?
To work around this, I created a custom scale using the notes C D E F G A B , which corresponds to the C major scale, and saved it into a user preset. Then I assigned the interval pattern M m m M M m dim to that scale. Only after these steps was I able to use the correct triads.
Unfortunately, I have to repeat this process every time I turn on Kordbot, since it doesn’t seem to save the configuration anywhere except possibly on the SD card (if one is inserted).
