Just Installed DSP Card…

Greetings!

Just purchased and installed the new DSP card…
Congrats on the release it looks wonderful.

I followed the instruction video to a tee. Took my time and all seemed fine. I updated the DSP card and normal firmware. The machine recognized the card and said “DSP initializing” and seemed to boot up as normal. The fan from the DSP kicked in briefly. Everything seemed hunky dory… I went to load a project but for some reason the shift button does not respond. All other buttons are normal! Checked the sliders and pots and all are responding accordingly. The shift button seems normal physically… Regular action with the click on depresses. Any help or advise would be greatly appreciated! Not sure what’s a miss here.

Thank you!

Ryan.

Maybe try running the firmware and DSP updates through again? Not sure, but worth a try.

Thanks so much for replying. Tried that tonight.
No luck. Same issue.
I’ve reached out to the devs for support.
Thanks again.

I’m sure they’ll take care of you. Only other thing that comes to mind would be to double check that all the connections on the ribbon cables are lined up correctly and seated properly. I would expect there to be more issues than just the shift button if you had misaligned the ribbon cables, though

Just to update you. I sent my unit back to HQ Rob and Brad made a repair. Free of charge! I blew out one of the twin diodes. Unit is back with me now and purring like a kitten. DSP card is amazing. Amazing customer service from Isla Instruments.
