Isla with external midi gear

Hi folks and happy holidays… I hope you are all nestled under your trees/duvets clutching your s2400… My main interest In the Isla is using is as a midi sequencer for my moog and other synths.

Ive had a few little successes like using pitch and multi mode but still missing a flow and feel elements to make the interaction musical.

Im lost as to what to use the faders for as the down contol the volume of each of the 8 tracks.

Any suggestions are how you are sequencing your external gear would be greatly appreciated

I’m sequencing 5 external synths from mine, with a midi keyboard as USB host. I just use the ‘midi input focus’ button on each pad to play a part and simply record when ready. To arrange my song I use mutes then ‘add to song’.

That’s all there is to it for me.
