Copying events from anywhere but measure one plays the whole sample instead of saved slices

I recently found a bug while copying a drum fill from measure three of one pattern to measure four of a different pattern. You can hear the drums freaking out in the linked video. It only does this if you copy from anywhere that doesn’t start at the beginning of the first measure.

After testing, watching the lights on the pads trigger correctly, and thinking about it, I realized the sequencer might be triggering the full sample instead of the slices in the pasted measure. When I chop drums, I copy the full drum break to the eight pads on bank D, making slices for the individual hits instead of saving those hits as their own samples. Shame on me for skipping that last step, I suppose.

I was able to confirm this was the case by saving the slices as individual samples (and modifying “all parameters” for the pads and patterns in question), and it played back properly after copy-pasting.

Here’s a YouTube link to what it sounds like when it’s freaking out. The video was too big to post directly here:

This has never happened to me, but after watching the video I was able to understand the issue… maybe you could share the project and I can try the same process on my end to see what might be going wrong.
