Hi there, everybody.
I have created plenty of small projects on my S2400. Most of them have one or two patterns, and no song mode information. BPM varies.
I have experimented with multi-track recording projects into a DAW on my computer, and I have an ever-expanding directory of the stems created from this process. I thought these would be useful, but none of them are trimmed into tight loops, and I can’t be bothered with doing that on my computer for hundreds of stems.
On to the question at hand…
My end use for these stems are right back into the S2400. With this in mind, might there be a better way to consolidate S2400 project files into larger, meta-project files? I know that each project has its own directory accessed by the S2400, (/PROJECTS/name) which contain the raw .wav files, a *.KIT file, and a *.S24 file.
What would be great is to be able to throw the .wav files from multiple different projects into a new project folder, and then modify the latter 2 file types to merge the sequencer/whatever else data together. I realize that since everything is of different original BPM’s, there will be differences, but is this in principle, possible?
TL;DR I want to merge project files created by the S2400 without rendering to stems. Has anyone done this or something similar? Is it worth the effort?
With love.
