Wish there was a shortcut to remove sound and settings from a pad quickly. Similar to the undo shortcut but for pad sound reset/purging.
You can hit shift+pad for the track you want to clear, then choose âclear soundâ under âactionsâ. It removes the assigned sound and restores track settings to defaults.
Mine doesnât restore the settings, i have to remove the sample, then restore the track. I really just want to do it in one command that saves me from going all the way to the bottom of the track settings.
Are you on the latest firmware on your S2400?
Yes
I think it would make sense if the clear sound option would put the track to its default settings, but on my machine it doesnât either.
To completely empty a track, I have to go:
-clear track (in track settings)
-put back to default (back+pad is the shortcut for this)
-clear the sequence of this track (erase+pad shortcut).
I can imagine its good to be able to clear the track but keep the sequence, but the other 2 should be the same shortcut imho.
Exactly!
Yes agree. the âcear soundâ option against a pad seems to have disappeared completely
There is no way to clear a sample from a pad as far as I can tell - it used to be there and itâs been removed..
âclear all soundsâ from the file menu completely deletes all settings and everything from a track which is bloody annoying.
I just copy an empty pad to the pad I want to clear. Clears the sound and settings.
Great idea thanks
+1000 for this kind of thing.
An easy way to clear individual pads would be helpful.
The workaround is good, but if you send each channel to itâs own output, got to re-adjust values - too much menu diving. It would be nice to have a template overriding the copied values - that would work ie. output 4 is always 4.
To extend it, could have an option to clear the entire bank. If Iâm deleting one, I usually want to delete the bank.
And all these without stopping the sequencer.
