Hello. I updated to the new firmware (Oct. 23 2023) and since then I can’t load certain projects. It’s always projects that when I click on them, a drop down file with the projects name appears and then I would have to click that folder in order to load the project. I have a video demo of the issue, but it’s too large to upload.
If possible, please share a folder that doesn’t load so that Isla’s people can investigate.
@felton Does the project (.S24) file have the same name as the folder? If not, then that is exactly what will happen. (on every firmware version)
Thanks Mickey! That was the problem. But I don’t know why before the update, I could always open my projects without them having the same name as the .S24 file.
This has never been the case pre-March update for me. I always gave projects the default name and I would rename just the directory once I am done with it.
I haven’t used the device after the March update, so I do not know whether that is still the case
I confirm this.
I couldn’t open projects with the new firmware but if I modify the .s24 file and make it match with the folder name it works.
(I renamed all my folders with 01_, 02_, 03_ …etc in the past so all the folder names and the .s24 file extension names don’t match.)
It works without any problems with the May firmware.
Same issue, Folder name is different than project .S24 file. I would often rename a project afterwards and never had a problem opening it before the update.
I have a backup of my SD card on my computer and can see the folder name and the .S24 file inside are named differently. For now I use the “Browse Files” function and I can load the project that way.
Same issue here, and pretty sure these projects opened in the past. I’d like to have the date in the folder name to keep things somewhat organized by when I made the projects, but copying those long strings into the project names is kind of annoying. So if there’s a way to resolve this so that folder / projects name don’t need to match that would be great.
