Best/easiest way to change samples pitch (and other params) AFTER recording them?

Hey everyone,

there is this one workflow thing that i can’t seem to figure out, and that is changing parameters in a pattern to match those you currently landed on. Mainly pitch, but if there is a way that works best for all ‘slider params’ that would be great.

To clarify, say i recorded some sample chops. and i already have alot of others things going on in the pattern, so re-recording is not an option. and i want to change certain sample’s pitch. if i change the pitch with the slider, the pattern remains unchanged.

in the pad settings, i can of course change the pitch there. But there must be another way right?

This is the biggest workflow issue i run into. On other devices, if you change params, you hear it live, and if you want to change those, you record them in. But if i’m not mistaken, the s2400 works the other way around? The params are the ones you record in, and if you change settings on a pad afterwards, a pattern is not affected.

I hope my issue is clear, very curious to how you guys tackle things like this.

If I’m understanding what you’re asking correctly you can change it by hitting the “A” key on whichever track you want to change the pitch, change it with the slider, then hold down “A” again and press the pad, it should say something like “parameter changed” or something and it will alter the pitch for that patter, but not for other patterns.

wow i didn’t know there was a param lock shortcut! imma check this out, this might be exactly what i was looking for. i knew you could override, and apply via a menu-dive, but this makes a giant difference.
