Assign Pads to notes on 1 channel in MIDI Track

Hi there,

I want to Assign Pads to notes on 1 channel in MIDI Track.

This is to sequence my DRM1.

I put it in DRM in learn and the sounds all seem to play on 1 pad even though it is recognising, im thinking its a track/note thing im doing wrong?

Any help appriciated.

Sorry if been posted already i have had a look and cant find anything.

As a new user I struggle with this right now. I don’t find this behavior documented well or intuitive. After some effort it seems what I think of as a pad (basically a trigger) can also behave like a track. A track can record a whole chord progression, baseline or drum performance.

I’m still confused about how to configure midi only tracks. I use the midi only tracks to trigger another drum machine. Right now the midi sequences are in my DAW so when I want to record the DAW sequence into an s2400 pattern all the midi pads play the whole drum sequence simultaneously.

It would be easier if I could just transfer a .mid midi file into the s2400 or the midi only tracks pad mode has a percussion option.
