Analog Outs and USB audio phase flipped

Hey everyone. I noticed that when I switched from recording my analog mix outs into my interface (with no plugins, or phase flip activated), to recording audio over usb, the phase is inverted. Has anyone else experienced this? I also haven’t been able to get my analog outs to sound anywhere near as good as the audio over usb. I’ve tried using my apollo x8p and RME interfaces. I love this machine, and i can definitely just use the audio over usb because i don’t use the analog filters much. Just wondering if anyone has experienced this and possibly found a solution.

Can you define “good” when comparing both outputs? I only use the analogue outs and am more than happy with the sound quality.

Sorry I realize good is not a useful adjective. I actually figured out half of the problem. I noticed that I was getting a ton of extra hiss and interference when the usb plugged into the back of the unit (this is when monitoring out of the analog outs). After unplugging the usb, the sounds are identical in “quality” but the phase is still flipped on the usb outs.

If I remember correctly, the analogue Mix outs are phase-flipped due to there being an extra inverting amplifier stage (to control the Mix Out volume). The analogue individual outputs, and all USB outputs should be phase-correct.
