Agreed! There’s an expansion port on the board right behind the side panel. I am sure it wouldn’t be more difficult than screwing in a couple of stand-offs and plugging the board in the expansion port
a vote for Goodhertz!!
If you ask me, I’d be interested either in obscure and unique effects or valhalla if we are talking quality stuff.
Although, I am not sure I understand how plugins could be ported given that currently S2400 is baremetal… and that DSP stuff, in my experience, is typically written in C and/or verilog…
Brad made mention in the comments that we definitely won’t be able to port in third party plugins, but i’m fine with that! i’m curious if this will be upgradeable in the future though!
Goodhertz and Valhalla would be so dope!
I’m hoping for something that inserts an audio watermark at random (not controllable in any way) that is like a huge explosion and like a big whoosh and then some hot chick saying, “beats by ______” and then an airhorn or two or three. You can type in your producer name so it’s like totally customizable.
That’s really the only plug-in I’m hoping for.
Lol yeah, obviously they’re gonna put in the essentials!
You hit the nail on the head.
Yes. Weird things. Is paulstretch too weird? lol
Haha, I dunno, but I would love it if the unit had paulstretch
Is this real?
Signed up! All over this. Good work guys make this happen!
What’s that??
Signed up
Soundtoys? Great plug-ins but CPU hogs. Definitely interested in this DSP board though. Some Valhalla port overs would be nice too…
- EQ
- COMPRESSOR
- REVERB
- DELAY
Is ALL I NEED.
Not certain if any of you have seen the Knobcon focus on ISLA that’s on YouTube, buuuuuut in the comments, in answer to someone’s question of when the DSP card will arrive and for how much, ISLA (I’m assuming that’s Brad) answered: ‘Soon. Not much.’
Tight lipped about the card, which is to be expected, but I appreciate that second part of the answer and I’m certain many of you will, too. Brad also lays out some more details in the vid. Check it out:
Hoping you can resample with FX easy. I guess the bounce feature will allow this but I would prefer to monitor the sound when resampling. Maybe the new cards would enable this given the feature is not possible in the current firmware
