There is mention at the bottum of the Waveform editor help page, that files over 2 MB cannot be looped, how can I see the size of the individual files saves on my device? (without connecting USB and check the .wav file size)
in the track settings you can see the sample length, frequency and stereo/mono. After you have to remember approximately the maximum time according to the chart.
I m not sure but from what I remember I think there is no indication of MB. You can create a feature request topic if it is not here already. It would be a useful indication rather than having to do the maths.
If you don’t use something over 16 bit and 48khz less than 10 seconds is fine in any case.
By the way it also affects multisclices. You can’t edit big samples in the waveform editor while the sequencer is running. In my case that’s where I pay attention. Well maybe because I chop more rather than I loop
Press F1 in the file browser to see the size of any file.
Thanks for the reply Mickey.
The trigger for my question above was actually because I wanted to be able to repeatedly [Loop] play the marking of the sample by holding [Run/Stop] on the [New Sample page] to find my desired start and end before saving.
But that is not possible, correct?
True. New samples cannot be looped. Only after saving.
