Using a keyboard with the 2400?

Does anyone know if it is possible to connect a midi keyboard to the 2400 to play samples and record them back into a track?

Would it make sense to use something like an ASR 10 with it, or would that be unnecessary?

I tried to copy at a timestamp(if not go to 5:51 in the video) that shows how to set up midi maps, this should allow you do what you want(as I understand it anyway, Ive not tried this yet)
