Can someone please explain to me precisely how to synchronize Ableton Live 12 Standard with the SP2400 using a USB cable? I’m a beginner and I really don’t understand how it works. What settings do I need to adjust in Ableton and on the SP2400?

In Ableton prefs go to your Link , Tempo & MIDI settings and select Track and Sync in your Output Ports.
In S2400 settings, select USB B as your Clock Source.
This is how I’ve been doing it but I’m wondering if there is more efficient way - as I’ve been experiencing dropouts / “sync lost” error messages causing the machine the need a restart, which in turn is having me hit save all the time in order to not risk losing my project at any given moment
