Auto Save before restart as a result of "sync lost"

This is a feature request combined with a bit of a bug report + I see that there has already been Autosave requested before here, but this is slightly different :

I’m using USB B + using Ableton as my clock source, and I’m getting the “sync lost!” error message quite often (sometimes 3-4 times within a session), and as a result I am anxiously hitting save every few minutes as it’s caused me to lose progress by having to restart. So I’m curious if it’s possible to implement an option to have the s2400 automatically save my progress as a failsafe, before initiating the restart process after pressing ‘any key’.

Saving is not possible after sync lost.

Not sure why it is happening to you so often. That is not normal.

I’m not sure if it’s because I’m using a USB hub (powered externally) that is a bit old so its USB 2.0, would I have better clock performance with a hub running 3.0?

Either way I’m also on the market for an external clock such as the Nome so that I can have a much more perfect sync between all my other machines. I’m wondering if that will also solve these issues.

The thing is I also get a lot of these “sync lost” drops when I activate too many Live FX too, as well as other miscellaneous bugs such as switching DSP channels from stereo to mono - I presume these don’t actually have to do with the USB sync but rather a CPU overload on the ISLA or something?
