Hi guys, just did some tests yesterday loading up Emax/EII sound font presets and exporting to the DSP. None of the Envelopes seem to respond. All defaulted to Zero and changing values does nothing. I presume you already know this.
on the plus side, this SF to LV2 encoder transfers the multisamples and presets perfectly!!! Just no working envelope control at all.

for envelopes to work, the “modulators” need to be set up inside the SF2 file…

hi, not too clear on how SF store or embed any modulation data… There is no way to hardwire these modulators within the SF2LV2 interface ?
Some old Emax or EII SF2 just refuse to respond to the Envelopes or Filter etc.

It would be also nice if this SF2LV2 could also have different Filter Types or even the code of the s2400 filter! and have the burned DSP LV2 player use that filter and of course actually respond to Envelope changes

if you want them to work, then load the soundfonts into a soundfont editor like polyphone, and create the global modulators.
Those assignments need to be present in the soundfont for it to have an effect.

  • Filter Controls:
    • Cutoff (CC 74): Controls the filter cutoff frequency
    • Resonance (CC 71): Controls the filter resonance
  • ADSR Envelope:
    • Attack (CC 73): Controls the attack time
    • Decay (CC 75): Controls the decay time
    • Sustain (CC 70): Controls the sustain level
    • Release (CC 72): Controls the release time
