Thanks a lot for this update Brad! We need more of these quick and raw updates now that these projects are coming to an end.
I’m curious on the new estimates for Caladan shipping (if all goes well of course)
Also curious if all the going back and forth over the injection mold of the smokey plate with the rings is done and hopefully the plate can go in mass production now.

Another quick question:
In order for the Caladan to act as a computer, do we need to swap out SD cards in order to boot into something custom? Or will Caladan OS also act as the desktop environment?
yes, well, no.
There is a jumper under the trap door which tells the machine to boot from internal drive or SD card.
I must state, that this external boot thing is not a feature that we are going to officially support, at least in the short term.
I’m simply demoing the possibilities of it. Remember being able to install Linux on your Playstation 4?
You’ll be kinda ‘on your own’ messing around with that side of things, although I’m sure our community will come up with some cool ass stuff!
Personaly, I love playing retro games, I’m looking forward to playing mario kart with Isla on our Caladan synthesizer! lolz
