Preview while scrolling only works on channel 1/2 or HP

I’m on the latest firmware with no dsp card.

The settings for the preview output channel in Settings->Preview Sound->Output seem broken. If i have mine set to 3/4, 5/6 or 7/8 and scroll samples while assigning to a pad they always come out 1/2. If i assign to HP it works as expected. Pretty sure i could assign to 7/8 properly in the past, perhaps it broke when the Preview moved from FIle.

I accidentally found the new location of the per-pad preview settings: “Shift+Settings” while Assigning a sound to a pad. I have submitted a report previously that changing these channel settings do not stick when you leave the menu, now i notice they have similar behavior to the Settings menu preview: 3/4, 5/6 and 7/8 don’t work (reverting to 1/2 when you leave the menu) but HP sticks.

Perhaps i am missing something but clarification in the menu, manual or my expectations seems needed.

Sounds like you need to use the Modify Pattern feature (Shift A or B) in combination with Override Mode to save the settings and apply them to the entire pattern. This will carry out the output channel changes to the pattern and allow them to persist even when you’re not in the menu.
Do you know how to enter Override Mode? Navigate to your pattern and enter Override mode. Adjust output channel, change the output channel settings as needed for the entire pattern. Commit changes with Modify Pattern, press and hold the pad, then use Shift A or B to modify the pattern. This will save your new output channel settings. Leave Override Mode, and your output channel settings will be applied to the entire pattern. If you still are stuck, read the manual or watch the video manual guy. Good luck.
