If i’m in a pattern and press SHIFT+F2, the first thing added to the song is the pattern swing settings.
If i’m in the song screen and press SHIFT+F2, the pattern is added without its swing settings. If I then try to add the swing as an event, it only displays the swing in 8th notes, not the pattern default of 16th notes. I can’t find a way to add the the pattern default swing setting this way.
From the manual:
“While editing the swing, press 8 to set the swing notes to eighths. Press 1 or 6 for sixteenths.”
thanks for confirming. I think it would be more intuitive if scrolling got me there, or if it defaulted to the pattern swing setting.
Yes. It should default to the pattern’s setting.
The first 16th note swing event is me pressing SHIFT+F2 and the pattern swing entering the song as expected.
The second 8th note swing event is me manually adding it from song mode. So I don’t think it does default to the pattern setting, otherwise it’d be 16th notes.
