Nord Drum 3P MAP file

Just made a MIDI MAP file for my Nord Drum 3P and thought I would share. This takes up 2 MIDI banks.

For this to work right you’ll need to set the ND3 global channel to 10, and then each channel on the ND3 to a a MIDI channel: 1->11, 2-12, 3->13, 4->14, 5->15, 6->16.

Bank E

Track 1-6 control ND3 channels 1-6

  • fader is level
  • top knob is reverb send
  • bottom knob is delay send

Track 7 is ND3 global reverb controls

  • fader is color
  • top knob is type

Track 8 is ND3 global delay controls

  • fader is feedback
  • top knob is rate

Bank F

I think I got all the params mapped. I’ll see if I can come up with a visual diagram when I have time but you should be able to figure it out mostly.

Pressing either A or B on tracks 1-6 will set the ND3 to select the corresponding channel to edit.

Track 1 (tone)

  • fader is pitch
  • top knob is spectra
  • bottom knob is wave

Track 2 (tone)

  • fader is filter freq
  • top knob is dyn filt amount
  • bottom knob is bend amount

Track 3 (tone)

  • fader is decay time
  • top knob is decay mode
  • bottom knob is bend time

Track 4 (noise)

  • fader is noise freq
  • top knob is noise resonance
  • bottom knob is filter type

Track 5 (noise)

  • fader is noise decay
  • top knob is noise mode
  • bottom knob is dyn filt amount

Track 6 (mixed)

  • fader is tone level
  • top knob is EQ freq
  • bottom knob is EQ gain

Track 7 (mixed)

  • fader is noise level
  • top knob is reverb send
  • bottom knob is delay send

Track 8 (mixed)

  • fader is click level
  • top knob is click type
  • bottom knob is distortion amount
    –the last 3 B,A,B buttons (track 7 B, track 8 A, track 8 B) select the distortion type

If you come up with any improvements, please share!

Thank you!

Hi, I have a question: I have both the nord 3p and the vermona drm1 mk4 - Your file exchange uses bank (e) and bank (f). The Vermona drm1 file exchange uses the same banks, (e) and (f) but I’d like to use them both. I believe the sd2400 uses banks (e-h) for midi only tracks. How can yours, or I change the other (drm1) to use banks (g-h) so I can use both the nord 3p and vermona drm1 on all midi only banks (e-h)??

thanks
