Multi out settings

Hey samplers,

I recently purchased a couple Allen Heath zed mixers and I want to use the multi outs from my s2400 into individual channels on my mixers. I currently have 1-6 outs into 1-6 mono and 7-8 outs into 7-8 stereo. What is the most efficient way to hook these up? I’ve never utilised multi out control before. Super noob in this regard.

1-6 for mono sounds and keep stereo 7-8 for percs and stereo sounds? I have set all this up with the help of grok. All this is working. But I cannot get the main mix out from my s2400 to play any sound on my mixer. Is there a setting I’m missing. Can’t seem to find any info on this in the manual.

Any help is appreciated.

As soon as you plug a cable into an individual out, it cuts out that output from the Main Out. So if you plugged into all 8 outs, no sound will come from the Main Out. It’s a hardware thing I think. If you use USB to stream audio to your computer you can access all 10 outs. And I think with the DSP card installed you have more control over the 8 individual outs and main out.

Thanks mate. Understood. I’ve got this setup via all 8 individual outs to my mixer. So no need to use the main outs. Frees up my mixer for another fx unit.

Is there a way to save the output settings? Do I have to always configure my outputs everytime I select a new sound? At the moment I have all my multi outs correctly set to mono outs. When I input a stereo sample, I have to go in the pad channel and set it to mono every time. Can this be saved somewhere to automatically route to mono? This is a bit of a pain.

Thanks
