Midi Sync set up in Logic

So started setting up midi sync in Logic today to simplify recording of the S2400, I was looking at the In progress manual and I think I have everything set up correctly, but the S2400 isnt starting along with logic. Has anyone set that up yet?
Here is how I have my S2400 set up:
Clock Src - USB B
USB B Jack- Transport In is checked
In logic I have the following sync options set:

midipref1
midipref11522×1196 157 KB
midipref2
midipref21708×1306 182 KB

This is usually all I have to do to get my SP-16 sync’ed up. Is there something else I need to do to get N’Sync(<-- bad pun)

I got this working by switching to Pattern mode in the Clock Mode combo box.
