Looper footswitch

Hi there all,

This is not necessarily a “feature request” but more of a question relating to a current feature.

Firstly, does anyone here already use MIDI hardware to control the looper functionality of the S2400?

ie: to be able to have hands-free access to basic functions of the looper if playing guitar/bass/percussion through a microphone etc

I have been imagining a footswitch that sends MIDI messages to switch immediately to the looper section that kind of thing?

Feeling like this makes even more sense now, especially after Brads DSP card video.

I have been using an RC505 MK2 with a simple MIDI footswitch alongside the S2400 for a while now, but after recently ordering the DSP card I feel having this looper is overkill!

I’m constantly looking to decrease my studio and live footprint, so would naturally greatly appreciate any advice on this topic.

Was even thinking @bradholland if the user feedback was good enough, would you guys consider in-house or licensing a third party to make a MIDI footswitch for the S2400 looper section?

All the best!

There’s already provision for that.
Just buy yourself a midi foot controller, there’s a roland one, and one some shitass company begining with B did also.
Create a MIDI map (there’s a supplemental manual for that in the downloads section) and you’re off the races.

I think someone may have already shared a MIDI map for a pedal board somewhere in this forum, if you make one yourself, consider sharing it here also!

Cheers

Thank you very much for your reply.
Fantastic news, looking into it now.
Apologies for not seeing this information before posting - I appreciate how annoying that is!

All the best.
