when using the looper after dsp install, The end of the loop is cut off no matter how long the loop length is when slave to midi… In this video you will see as I make the loops shorter, eventually there is some kind of a high-pitched digital sound in the space where the recording should be… the 303 line in this recording is the looped sound and it cuts off the last half a bar no matter how long I set the division length
I am sorry, I watched that video 3 times and I don’t get what is wrong, what sound is loop and what is not?
You can also hear some unwanted frequencies that start to appear as soon as the pattern length is shortened at 0:50 and onwards
The 303 is the sound… The drums are not from the S2400 … as Mentioned here in my desciption. This problem has appeared before and there are previous threads about it.
at 90 BPM and 4 bars, the max live loop length in 1BANK / STEREO mode is 9.7s or 3.6 bars, so that explains why you cannot record 4 full bars
so either set it to 2 Banks or MONO to get double the recording time
thanks, it is set to mono and I do not get this problem when I am not slaved to midi clock
this also does not explain why it cuts the end of the loop off as I shorten it… If it was a buffer issue, it would be fine once shortened
there’s another thread from 2023 that addresses this issue and it was fixed in an update with some kind of addition problem with the RAM being calculated, I suspect it’s a similar issue with a new firmware
ok, will look into it more…
sorry, I cannot reproduce I am clock syncing from USB HOST or DIN and as long as I configure the pattern length within the live loop limits, it records to the end
please show this with a) a non shaky camera and b) a recorded sound that’s more regular, like a 16th snare/high hat or so
